Service & Tire Store, New and Use Tires
George's tire service
Here at George's tire shop at 5946 N. Black Canyon Highway Phoenix, AZ we want to be your new trusted tire shop. We will be selling the major brand tires and will do custom orders if we do not have the tire you are looking for in stock. Along with our tires, we'll be selling aftermarket wheels and rims. This might be a great time to customize your vehicle to make it look appealing and stand out above the rest. Feel free to stop in and get a price quote on new tires or tires and wheels.
When you're shopping for tires we might ask you some of the following questions. What is your vehicle used for? If its a small car that you use for your commute daily and this car might also be your family car, We will try to target this with a tire that will give you the least road noise for your daily commute. Sometimes a tire like this may cost a little more but usually gives better life and longer mileage. But the most expensive tire definitely can be an overkill if the car is not in service very often. If it's a pick- up truck and you use this truck on the weekends for off-roading or hauling things that may be heavier in back of your truck or maybe even pulling a small trailer, we can help suggest the different type of tire for your truck. You know your driving habits and road conditions and where you drive far better than we do. Let the sales person know if you're going to be driving on rough road with lots of potholes or just on smooth roads.
Keep in mind we live in the Phoenix Valley. Sometimes we venture out. Does your family ski or do you often make trips to the north? You will need tires that are suited for winter conditions. All season tires are the best choice for drivers in sunnier climates. Most often if you are driving on snow and ice every year you more than likely have two sets of tires. One set for winter and one for summer. We recommend this for long-lasting performance and best results from your tires.
It's always good to remember our driving habits and where we go at different times of the year.
We are dedicated to the best service we can provide you but we also understand that you may have a budget. There are many factors to consider. Safety, comfort, longevity, road noise, driving habits, handling characteristics. We'll be happy to explain some of these things to you and help you balance your budget. We will tell you the different quality between different brands and types of tires. We want what's best for you and your driving conditions. We pride ourself in excellent service with satisfaction. We don't push you into something you do not need. We understand we all do not need the most expensive tire. Remember to ask your salesman about the warranty on the different types of tires. Just like anything else in life a low value tire does not always have the best warranty.
Other things to consider:
Expiration - How long is a tire coverd? The life of the tire? Three years? Five years??
Workmanship- Is your installation/repairs covered?
Road hazards- This would be running over a nail, driving into a pothole, debris damage. Is the value of the tire covered or is it prorated based on the life of the tread value?
Free services- Ask the salesman about regular inspections for wheels, balancing and tire rotation if you have purchased your tires from us.
We plan to continue to grow in our service department at George's Tire Shop. In the near future, we plan to do brakes, alignment, shocks and struts and may also carry batteries,
